Featured Interview in FEIPLASTIC 2013: Hear from What Agents Say

Brazil is a fast growing country with high market potential. There are many companies want to take a piece in this market. But as organizer says, get prepared before entering Brazil is the must do. To Taiwanese companies the difficulties for entering Brazil, the first one is the language barrier. Most people still use Portuguese to do business rather than English. The strict tariff policy and culture differences are also the issues that have to be coped with. This time, we interview agents such as MEGGAPLASTICO, STARMACH, ARD and TC GLOBAL which have represented Taiwanese brands for a long time. Through their eyes we can have a better understanding about the strategy for entering Brazil market.

Agent – MEGGAPLASTICO – Sales Director – Joao Luiz Poleselo

MEGGAPLASTICO is one division under the well-known machinery group GROUP MEGGA in Brazil. They represent Taiwanese brands MULTIPLAS and CHUMPOWER. The sales director Joao has a good acknowledge for Asian machinery brands. He expresses that MEGGAPLASTICO are going to have cooperation with TOSHIBA in the near future. He also shares with us his opinion about machinery from Asia.

STARMACH is a company which has cooperated with Taiwan Kinki, FCS and TENSO for more than 10 years. STARMACH demonstrates all kinds of machines in every FEIPLASTIC. The sales manager, Edison, tells us about the agent service that STARMACH provides and the technique support for the clients in Brazil. In addition, STARMACH attaches great importance to the staff training and technology training. Edison thinks attending FEIPLASTIC is a fine way to find out the exact market demand and the future direction of the market.

Agent – ARD – Director – Ariel Kamien

ARD has represented JUMBO STEEL, TWIN SCREW, CHUAN LIH FA for many years. This year it also started the cooperation with ALFA AUTO. The director of ARD, Ariel, is very friendly and enthusiasm. He gives high compliment to these Taiwanese brands which cooperate with him for more than a decade. Although ARD has represented many brands, Ariel is confident of the technical support that they can provide.

Agent – TC GLOBAL TSONG CHERNG – Operating Manager – Eduardo Chern

TC Global Tsong Cherng has established in Brazil market for almost 30 years, and cooperates with Taiwan companies for many years. TC Global has many year experience and high technology on machinery. The operating manager, Eduardo Chern, claims that even though FEIPLASTIC is in the same period with CHINAPLAS, there are still many visitors from South America. The reaction is much higher than he expected. In the future, the World Cup and Olympics will be held in Brazil, and Eduardo thinks it will drive the domestic demand.
