Chloroprene rubber (CR) is also referred to as chloroprene rubber, neoprene rubber, NEOPRENE®, etc. One of the elastomers first successfully synthesized by DuPont in the United States in 1931. It is made from copolymer latex of chloroprene. Chloroprene rubber is a multifunctional elastomer with well-balanced overall physical properties. Chloroprene rubber also has excellent physical toughness and good flame retardancy properties.
