IML (In-Mold Labeling) is a process of applying pre-printed labels to a plastic container during the molding process itself. It is suitable for PP and AS material.

The practical application of IML Labels

Gravure printing technology such as IML Labels, because it can be printed on one or both sides, is often used as a solution on food utensils, such as plastic plates and cups.

in-mold labeling (IML), that is the IML film is placed in the mold, and the plastic and IML film are combined at the same time as the injection molding, a spray-free decoration method.

In general, most of the molding plastics used for IML are PP plastics; there are also PC, PS, ABS plastic applications.

CMYK four-color printing can be used. 

Pearlescent and metallic inks can also be used to improve the appearance.

IML film is shipped in sheet which can be cut into the appearance of the product required by the customer. 

 

single-layer IML film is 40um or 70um; double-layer (laminated) IML is 95 um.
